Municipal park

The park features various facilities for sports and recreation : a skating rink (lit at night), a softball field, a pétanque court, playground modules for young children and swings. The Sports Lodge is open when there are organised activities in the park.

Fireflies’ Summer Camp

In 2017, the Summer Day Camp begins on Tuesday, June 27th  and ends on Friday, August 11th. Please note that there won’t be a day camp on Monday, July 3rd.

The camp is held Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (non-stop through lunch hour) at the Sports Chalet located in Austin’s Municipal Park

A child-minding service is available in the morning from 7:30 to 8:30 and in the afternoon from 4:30 to 5:00.

Maximum number of places: 24

Preference will be given to full-time (5 days per week) registrations, but part-time enrolments may be accommodated based on availability.

Registration will take place on Saturday, May 13th from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Sports Chalet. Please bring the completed registration form(s) and  your cheque book.  You will need your child’s health insurance number, your social insurance number as well as a proof ofresidence to register.  

And do bring the kids : our Day Camp personnel will be there to greet them !

Hall Rentals

Different rooms may be rented at Town Hall for a day or part of a day upon payment of a deposit (see By-law no. 04-303). Rental fees are as follows ::

Community Hall (including the kitchen)     $35 
Council room       $20
Recreation room $15 

In accordance with the rules set by Council, the renter agrees to pay to the Municipality, in addition to the rental fee, a deposit of $60 reimbursable after the event if the room has been restored to its original condition and the keys have been returned to the Municipality. The Municipality will retain $45 if the rented space has not been restored to its original condition, and $15 if the keys are not returned. 

Bryant's Landing

Persons wishing to use Lake Memphremagog must be aware of the Code of Ethics for Water Activities on Lake Memphremagog and respect it at all times. Failure to do so may result in legal sanctions

Bryant’s Landing opens at the beginning of the fishing season (last weekend of April) and closes after Labour Day (first Monday of September).

Hours : 5 h à 15 h

Facilities : Boat ramp, parking. There are no boat washing stations in Austin.


Austin residents: free of charge
Non-residents : daily pass $50 / season pass $375
User certificates and parking permits may be obtained at Town Hall, Monday to Friday from 8 :30 a.m. to 4 :30 p.m. or on weekends at Bryant’s Landing, from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.

IMPORTANT : In order to prevent zebra mussels infestations, all boat or water craft owners (including sailboards, pedal boats, canoes, kayaks, etc.) must be able to present a valid washing certificate or user certificate.
